Use in Pregnancy: There is no evidence that the use of erythromycin is hazardous in human pregnancy though it does cross the placental barrier. Animal studies have also revealed no hazard.
Lactation: Erythromycin reaches concentrations in human milk higher than those in maternal plasma. However, problems in humans have not been documented.
